A 10-year-old boy who had been separated from his biological mother for an extended period has been successfully reunited with his parents.
The child, originally from Yei County, was identified as separated during an outreach activity in Yei by IPS. Following identification, the case was transferred to Juba for MTT. Tracing and family verification were conducted in collaboration with relevant partners and community structures by MobileTheatreTeam.
After a carefully satisfactory procedures, the child was formally reunified with his biological mother and family. The reunification was conducted in the best interest of the child, ensuring safety, dignity, and emotional well-being.
The family was provided with reunification counselling, and a follow-up plan has been put in place to monitor the child’s integration and psychosocial well-being.
